Hope 03:33
We’ve come so far, so far down the road, What seemed so hard not so long ago, We start to hear the wake up call, A time of knowing will come to us all. Now we start to learn form the past, Education critical mass, And hope. Won’t be too long till the dawn of a new day, To right the wrongs and find a better way, An age of light where truth is all, We’ll watch the ivory towers fall. Now we start to learn form the past, Education critical mass, And hope.

Red Top 02:45
Flicking through you, just killing time, It seems like your thoughts are becoming mine, Over to page 3, a babe so fine, Show me your bigotry and I’ll show you mine. No need for rationale, No time to read, My thoughts turn national, You got me seething, red top. Remote control from a distant line, The Wizened of Oz, his thoughts are divine, Does all he can to appear benign, Voting for Christmas, you gobble his lines, The dark lord conquers all, His will be done, You’re paying for your own downfall, Those scheming, lying… None so blind as those that will not see, Addicted rats in a laboratory, Their daily dosage borne from fallen tree, A willing brainwashed society Decide who’s in command They’re never wrong, For them a promised land, God help us all from red tops.

Tory Boy 03:36
Too many mouths to feed? Just don’t feed them, Why bother? Embrace your greed, It’s the path to freedom, Please excuse me for messing with your mind, I’m really far superior to you and your kind As for your conscience and humility? You just don’t need them. Won’t you please lend a helping hand, With this vermin occupying my land, With human rights that make me so annoyed, It’s harder than ever to be a Tory boy. Our well crafted hostility, Needs a place to flourish, I’ll strip your dignity, Just to keep it nourished, Please excuse me for getting in your head, Now tell me ‘bout your neighbours spending all day in bed, With two kids and a flat screen TV, We’ll watch them perish. Must we really be friends with queers, And Johnny Foreigners over here? But look at the servants that we employ, Harder than ever to be a Tory boy. Kowtowing to corporate greed, Is what we’re choosing, A free market is what we need, Unless we’re losing A superficial disguise of laisse faire We’re too big to fail, And we’re too big to care We’ll get fat on your subsidie, To lessen the bruising. You won’t get far with that attitude, Our countries rich, show some gratitude, Look at the profits that we enjoy Better than ever to be a Tory boy

It seems so long ago and far away, When we’d expand our minds most every day, Not a care in the world, we’d laugh till we cry, But all those yesterdays, Still leave warm memories of time and place, And on we’d go, each with our own lives, But when I saw you just the other day, You’d lost that glint in your eye. ‘Cause baby high ain’t always high Now the awkward silence that remains, While you try to remember my name, Feels alien and strange; like an old friend died, If I had only known those yesterdays, That you would struggle to avoid the gaze, Of what should be a game, not a way of life, And so my absent minded friend, I guess that this was goodbye. ‘Cause baby high ain’t always high

Feed My Soul 04:20
Been working all day, gotta keep what’s mine, I know that it’s the right way but it takes all time, And man! It don’t leave me feeling whole, Hey Boss, you forgot to feed my soul, I never go to church, guess I was never raised that way, Never figured it was much good crawlin’ round till judgement day, But man! It never left me with a hole, Hey God, you forgot to feed my soul, Please – I need more nourishment, just a little more encouragement, It’s been a long, long time, I guess I lost sight of my goals, Whoa man! I forgot to feed my soul.

Papa's Girl 02:58
If you settle down, I’ll sing you a song, pretty girl, About when you first shone your light into our world, We were gathered ‘round to see our shining pearl, And I knew right then that you would be Papa’s Girl. So come on, close your eyes, And I’ll sing to you softly, Papa’s Girl It’s a beautiful world, so don’t be afraid to run out and play in the sun, It might rain sometimes, but you’ve got people who love you And shelter you the best we can. So drift off to sleep, While I sing to you softly, Papa’s Girl I can’t tell you that nothing’s ever bad, But I’ll protect you no matter where I am, I can’t promise that I’ll always be around, But I’ll stay as long as I can So no need to worry, you can just sleep tight, And you can wake in the morning and take on the world, I lean over and kiss you a sweet goodnight, And may your dreams be happy, my Papa’s Girl

He’d always been a believer, And the word was Divine, He just knew he was gonna be a preacher from the time that he was nine, He said “Mama, Mama, I’m going to the Promised Land” He couldn’t know that he’d find his own doubt there lying in the sand. He didn’t know what to make of this crisis of faith, He couldn’t just close his mind ‘cause an old book said, He tugged just a few strings and watched the whole thing unwind, He couldn’t square the pain he saw with the God in his mind. Just when you’re most confirmed, Life can take a different turn, It really isn’t in your hands, ‘Cos your heart don’t care about your best laid plans He was an over-achiever, A real self made man, A big house, a real fancy motor and a gold digger with plans, He said “Baby, Baby, I can still feel a hole” He gave it up to join a rock ‘n’ roll band, it was music for his soul. Y’see it ain’t worth a thing just to be a rich man, You’ve gotta find peace of mind anyway you can, You can have everything and be a breed apart, But you still can’t buy the joy that a song puts in your heart. Just when you’re most confirmed, Life can take a different turn, It really isn’t in your hands, ‘Cos your heart don’t care about your best laid plans Just when you’re most confirmed, Life can take a different turn, It really isn’t in your hands, ‘Cos your heart don’t care about your best laid plans

Can’t really find the words to say the way I feel, I’m like a predator hunting for a meal, Creative juices try to flow but just congeal, It goes round and round, a never ending wheel. It seems no mortal man can break these chains and free, These shackles and restraints of harsh mundanity, Somebody grease the wheels and set my spirit free, Release me from these chains of dark reality. Hazy words that lack formation, I’d give the world for a spark of inspiration . This endless apathy, my patience wearing thin, Cannot the muse unleash the bleeding heart within, It always seems to slip away beyond my reach, No one can help me now, a wall I cannot breach. I feel it there, just not the notion, A numbing blank devoid of all emotion, Hazy words that lack formation, I’d give the world for a spark of inspiration. Spoken: “Lying awake in the middle of the night, My tortured mind unable to take flight, With darkness surrounding me, and no relief in sight, A wasteland of words, all running from the night, No weaving of wisdom, no webs being spun, No thoughts or fears trip from the tip of my tongue, A noose of pure apathy strangling my mind A soliloquy of boredom, unable to rewind.”

Friends, gather round and smile, Don’t let tears be your last thought of me, And when you meet once in a while, I hope you’ll smile every time you think of me. When I’m gone, don’t you cry for me, There’s a chance that I could feel your smiles, And all the love and laughter that we shared, Are memories that kept we warm through all my life. Each of you made me who I am, Every time I was at your side, You gave me the strength to carry on, You saw me when all the world was blind. So Friends, gather round and smile, Don’t let tears be your last thought of me, And when you meet once in a while, I hope you’ll smile every time you think of me.
